URBAN MANIFEST at Creative Grove Oct 4

















For the Jersey City Artist Studio Tour 2013
The art manifest in the public space 
happens at CREATIVE GROVE OCT 4, Grove street PATH plaza, 3 - 9 pm

with an URBAN MANIFEST:
spoken word, poetry, open mic, aerosol art,  sound installation,  
dance music, participatory art projects, Poop Talk  and a variety of artists displaying their work,
reflecting Jersey City's Urban culture with a cutting edge.

DJ Pastiche on the Last Stop Before Berlin
samples the rare German Minimal and Electronica he finds in the underground galleries and small music shops in Berlin on his regular trips to Bauhaus land..

Poop talk, not stoop talk
with Meredith Rollman known for   "what is that crazy bitch going to do next" 
live interviews on 2 toilets in poop action

The paintings are brief moments for our memories to be documented through the experience and photography, lost with the next layer of paint.
All ages welcome, bring a throw away T shirt to protect your clothing, and washable paint.

Speakeasy Studio Open for JC Artist Studio Tour



The Jersey City Artists Studio Tour is in its twenty-third year, and is one of the most anticipated cultural events in Jersey City. Hundreds of local artists participate in the Jersey City Artists Studio Tour, showcasing their work in mediums that span from visual artwork to performance pieces. Jersey City artists utilize the Studio Tour to introduce their body of work to the community, as thousands of visitors will tour private studios, community spaces, galleries, businesses and pop-up shops in support of the arts."

The event goes from 12pm-6pm on Saturday October 5th and 12pm-6pm on Sunday October 6th.

-DJ's to play some light lounge music in the outside area. I just hooked up a sound system!!

-Performance artists who can work in a smaller backyard area.

Directions from NYC: The event is a short walk from the Grove Street path station, where you can catch other events on the way! Walk 4 blocks up Newark Ave. until you see 2nd St on your left. Turn left on SecondSt. walk 2 blocks up and Colgate will be on you left. one block up, at the end of the street you will find Colgate and 1st. We are on the corner!

Kick-off the Studio Tour weekend with your community from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, October 4 with music, libations, performances, and art in abundance at our flagship location!

Featuring 17 curated group exhibitions with over 450 pieces of art that include the Pro Arts Members Show, "In The Boudier" curated by Andrea Morin, "Dark Fable" visual art and performance by Art House Productions, "Nostalgia" by Instigatorzine, and more.

Music by The Smoove Sailors, Nobuki, and special guests.

By Car: There is limited parking in the parking lot, and on-street parking is encouraged. Buddy up and carpool.

By Bus: The 81 bus also runs from the PATH down to Grand/Summit, which is a short walk to the TenMarc.
